 \nAt Lee's Friends, volunteers drive cancer patients to and from their canc
 er-related medical appointments and treatments. For patients and volunteers
  alike, each trip becomes more than a car ride; it becomes an opportunity t
 o connect. In 2025, Lee's Friends provided 900 rides to cancer patients wit
 hout access to reliable transportation, ensuring they receive critical medi
 cal care and treatment. \n\nOur Transportation Program runs Monday through 
 Friday for patients living and receiving treatment in Chesapeake, Norfolk, 
 Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach. We can accommodate appointments as early as
  9:00am and as late as 2:00pm, with return transportation provided for all 
 rides. Driving schedules and routes vary depending on each patient’s needs 
 and volunteer availability.\n\n\nOpportunity Type: Individual\nLength of Ty
 pe: \nMinimum age required: 21\nRequired: Volunteers interested in driving 
 for Lee's Friends must provide the following: a valid driver's license, a c
 opy of your most recent DMV record, and submit a separate application avail

 ete an in-person interview and orientation to the organization and program.
